since geraldine asked me, i'll just do this. how do you keep your face clean and healthy?
firstly, i suggest you endorse in a reliable brand for all your facial products, for example nivea visage, garnier and bioré. what i mean is, use the same brand and preferably same type for your facial foam/cleanser, toner, exfoilating scrub, face gel/cream, and eye-contour cream. your skin is extremely sensitive to the different pHs of different brand products, which means your skin will be wrecked if you use different pHs all the time, speaking in layman's terms.
secondly, not all of the above facial products are necessary to maintain clean and healthy skin. the essentials are the facial foam/cleanser and toner. facial foam/cleanser is used to clean the skin and remove impurities that make skin dull and prone to blackheads, pimples, and whiteheads. effective facial foams/cleansers do not dry, but instead moisturizes the skin, therefore, please read the back of your facial foam/cleanser before use or purchase. the toner is important, and is used after washing your face thoroughly with the facial foam/cleanser. the main function of the facial foam/cleanser is to open up your pores and wash out impurities with the gentle massaging of your fingers. using the toner after cleansing helps to close up pores to prevent dirt from entering and dulling your skin, it eliminates residues of cleansing products and remaining impurities, and also tone and freshen the skin with respect to the skin's natural moisture balance.
since i believe i do not have to go through the washing procedure for the facial foam/cleanser, i shall further introduce the toner. i highly suggest you invest in facial cotton (the square, flat type of cotton), which is very cheap and available everywhere. the toner is used like this: wet the cotton just enough (not dripping wet), hold the cotton between both your second and middle finger, and your thumb, then swipe your face gently with strong, clean swipes. all areas of your face should be covered, excluding the delicate eye area.
some talk on the exfoilating scrub. it is a gel-like substance that contains soft exfoilating scrub particles that softly removes impurities and dead skin cells and thus stimulates skin renewal. it leaves skin looking more radiant and fresh and you will obviously feel that your skin is noticeably smooth and supple. to achieve best results, use the exfoilating scrub only once or twice a week. usually i use the exfoilating scrub only every 3 days, after the facial foam/cleanser, then i apply the toner.
while your skin is still slightly wet after washing with the foam/cleanser, apply a small amount of scrub, and gently massage in with your fingertips. do avoid the delicate eye area. when you think you have covered the areas you wish to cover, rinse thoroughly with clean, warm water and pat your skin dry.

i am utterly amazed at myself for being able to stay off msn for that long. why, you may ask? hmmm. today has been a interesting day, considering the fact that i missed the troupe trip to korea. so i woke up at 7:30, went running for about about half an hour (i don't know how much i've covered), and settled down at some random bench. the fact that my earpiece is totally wrecked means that i no longer have personal music to listen to on my phone, so i hung the phone around my neck, chose a good playlist, and let it play on speaker. i got quite a number of stares so i decided that i'll just borrow a friend's iPod next time instead. the song One Of Those Girls by Avril Lavigne got stuck in my head halfway through the run, so i wound up making a playlist on that song alone and i listened to that repeatedly for godknowshowmanytimes for the rest of the run.
after i got home and showered, i spent a good hour on my guitar. i registered for lessons already, one hour every friday night, and i had my first lesson last night. the teacher gave out the chords on Bad Day already, so i tried making sense out of it on my own and it did make sense eventually, leaving me feeling accomplished. lol.
my mother then took me to my younger aunt's house to visit my grandmother, who's currently living there, and i bought Mac's breakfast along the way for both my cousin and i. we stayed there till about one, doing lame stuff like Sudoku and memorising song lyrics other than eating. eating's the nice word. pigging out is more like it. but her house is so full of stuff i crave to eat, so i simply couldn't resist the temptation(s).
when we reached home, i suddenly had another craving...for basketball. seemed like ages since i played, so i just grabbed my ball and headed down to the court, which was quite empty. i played alone, just shooting for about one hour plus until Leo and Renfred appeared. then i got my wake up call. which was why i asked that question. right here, i'll say SORRY. this SORRY is just for you. i'm SORRY. please forgive me for all the weird stuff you've been putting up with. i promise it will never happen again.
the last post was simply some excerpts from my currently favourite show, Corner With Love. go check it out - featuring Barbie Hsu Xi Yuan aka Da S and Alan Luo Zhi Xiang Show aka Xiaozhu.
